***Update Note 9/20/2026: Updated Stat Lines, Gear, and Genus the best I could given the info we know so far. There are for sure some big changes for global and it’s impossible for us to be 100% sure of ALL the changes until launch. Will update this doc with confirmed info as soon as I can. If there is any confirmed info that needs to be updated on this doc that you notice, please shoot me an X msg or DM on Discord. I have not yet updated the Wings section.
The following is an in-depth, everything-you-need-to-know guide that includes all the foundational information in Aion 2 PVE and covers everything related to Character progression. Detailed damage formulas can be found towards the end of the doc.
This is a work-in-progress guide that I’ve been working on solo so please let me know if you catch any errors, typos, or anything that needs to be updated. This is obviously a very big doc that covers a lot of ground so there could be some stuff I missed, there are a lot of systems in Aion 2.
Planning on editing this doc to make it more visually appealing in due time as well!

My Aion 2 Credentials
I probably have around or close to 1k hours played. I play/played this game offstream a LOT, way more than I stream it. I have completed all the content in the game, including the pinnacle raids and got to just under 900k combat power.
Performance-wise, for Brawler I have averaged anywhere from +20% to +90% Skill Index (Skill Index explanation above the picture below) through pretty much all the Combat Power brackets through the 800ks peaking at 238 out of 100 (+138%) Skill Index in the 560k-580k bracket (one of the top Brawlers in that bracket at the time).
To be clear, this is something that can be inflated to a certain degree but my numbers were all from the highest level content I could do in each respective bracket, with complete pugs that were not handpicked for DPS boosts.
Also keep in mind this is based out of KR where everyone pretty much has less than 30 ping so there is way less variance with ping).
Posting this now because I’m moving back to the US and my ping will tank my DPS on KR now.
(Skill Index measures the average DPS across all users within 20 Combat Power of each other for each respective Boss. A score of 100 out of 100 (+0%) means median average DPS.)
